slow motion
floating
helpless

then crashed to the ground
on hearing your words
your words
'I'm leaving. What is there for me here? I'll stay in touch'

I would remember this moment

up above in the navy sky
Concorde shone silver near the crescent moon

of course you wouldn't stay in touch

I downed my drink in one go
felt the bitterness
burn my throat-

it burned all the way down to my gut
